Movie and Walking
 
Movie​

The movie group meets on the first Monday between series to watch a movie in a local cinema with tea/coffee/lunch together before or after. Details will be emailed to members the previous week. All members are welcome.

The Movie on Monday16th March is Tenor, My Name Is Pati.

It’s on at the Deluxe Cinema at the Tannery at 10am. If you’d like to go please book your own tickets and as it’s likely to be popular, we suggest you book promptly.

There is free tea and coffee before the movie.

The movie is highly recommended by reviewers.

Tenor, My Name is Pati follows brothers Pene and Amitai Pati rise from singing in church halls to success with trio Sol3 Mio and International opera debuts. The documentary was shot across seven countries, including Samoa, the siblings' birthplace. Behind-the-scenes and backstage moments are intermingled with family home video revealing the charisma, culture and determination that shaped their remarkable careers.

A between-series walk which is approximately 1 hour duration around different parts of Christchurch with coffee afterwards at a nearby cafe. This walk is held on the second Monday during the break between series. An email is sent to all Godley members giving details of the meeting place and time. Details of the next walk will be listed under 'What's On' closer to the time
