Between-series Movie and Walk
Movie

The movie outing next Monday 13 October will be to Prime Minister at the De Luxe Cinema, The Tannery, Woolston, at 10am.

As most will be aware, it is a documentary of Jacinda Ardern’s time as PM.  Whether you’re a fan of her and/or her politics or not, it’s a fascinating insight into a human being dealing with life in the spotlight, and with all those unexpected events and crises that happened during her time in the role, not the least of which was dealing with unexpected new motherhood at the start of her term.

Unfortunately neither Pam nor I is able to be there, so please purchase your own tickets, enjoy the free tea and coffee provided before the movie, and I’d highly recommend the café next to the cinema for a bite to eat and to mull over the pleasures of the movie afterwards.

Any queries, please contact Jill Halliburton 02102267556 or Pam Craig 0212637186

(The movie group meets on the first Monday between series to watch a movie in a local cinema with tea/coffee/lunch together before or after. Details will be emailed to members the previous week. All members are welcome).

Walk

Monday 20th October, Spring in the Botanic Gardens

Meet outside the KIOSK in the gardens at 9.45am. This is a shorter walk (3.5km) but there is a lot to see and admire.
Refreshments to follow at the Ilex Café
No walk if the weather is wet.

All members are welcome.
